Since our founding in 1975, Zenken and the Zenken Group have been engaged in business activities contributing to the creation of a future leading to a more prosperous society. As a proactive member of society, we will continue to work on solving various social issues and contribute to the sustainable development of the world, based on our vision of “creating new opportunities.”
- Cultural and Social Activities
As part of our business activities, we are working to develop global human resources. We bring this know-how to the cultural and social sphere by supporting the activities of artists and athletes flying around the world.
One example is the sponsorship contract with Miho Sugiyama, a professional golfer who continues to work in Japan and overseas, taking part in such events as the “Golf Digest Japan Dracon Tournament” (winner in 2019) and “2019 World Long Drive Championship”. Another is our language learning support for Keeenue, an up-and-coming artist covered by Adobe Creative Magazine as one of the “30 Japanese Artists for the World”. We are also honored to support a triathlon athlete, Ai Hashimoto, who achieved excellent results in domestic triathlon competitions.
- Language Learning Support
For over 40 years, we have been developing a language education services business centered on English conversation to nurture human resources who can play an active role globally.
Through the operation of the Linguage Japanese Language School, we are focusing our efforts on providing language education services to foreigners who wish to study Japanese. We are making a company-wide effort to donate textbooks and reference books for the JLPT, novels written in Japanese, manga, etc. for use of overseas talent who want to learn Japanese and work in Japan. By providing these free textbooks and books, we want to expand learning opportunities and to enrich the experience of foreign students learning Japanese.
- Improvement of the Working Environment
We are implementing various measures to promote work-life balance and create a comfortable and productive environment for our employees. We have established company rules regarding appropriate working hours and breaks, overtime, holidays and vacations, and strive to manage working hours and employee health in accord with the applicable laws. We implemented Premium Fridays once a month, offer shorter hours to employees who need more time off for childcare / nursing care duties, offer prenatal / postnatal leave and promote taking childcare leave.
